Yes, under similar circumstances in Trinidad and Tobago, I am seeing 
that myself. It's being kept rather quiet, though it will be interesting 
to see the 'subversives' crawl out from under the rocks for the FLOS

We even have a Microsoft employee quietly getting distros from the head 
of the TTLUG so that he can work with the technologies. :)

There remains a very American dominated presence in the way of IT - but 
that's changing. Facts are a hard sell as marketing, but... slowly... 
and hopefully accelerating.

I'm interested in what you're seeing in your area, if you would care to 
share.
