Hi!

I contributed internet_usgs.pl a ... long time ago. My version of the
script just stopped working. (and note my version of MH is WAY back
level). Effectively, the script builds the necessary URL, pulls down
the text results from a USGS search, saves the results in a file, and
regex's the results.

Government shutdown notwithstanding, the URL still works if I enter the
same URL manually. The script now fails to download the file, which
means the URL isn't working somehow. I noticed the URL entered manually
(in a web browser) redirects from http to https before returning the
results. I wondered if this was the problem, so changed the submitted
URL from http to http in the script. No dice.

Is there a difference in MH in get_url between http:// and https:// ?

Thx.

And then I have to think more carefully, "What would Bugs Bunny do in a
situation like this?"
