I run an old implementation of MH, and wrote/use the internet_USGS.pl module. Internet_usgs stopped working which I finally puzzled out was due to the USGS site now requiring https:// . I tracked that back to LWP not working, and made several attempts to update my LWP (and then version of Perl) to get LWP working. Didn't work. I saw a (relatively) recent post here that pointed out that MH includes some of the Perl modules within the code, and some digging about shows that includes LWP, so my attemps at upgrading was likely losing out to the LWP version included in MH. What's the best path to get LWP upgraded/working? I could just delete the LWP folders from my MH install, but suspect I'll start down the path that my upgraded version of LWP will require yet more perl modules to be upgraded within mh, and then not be able to figure out which ones those additional perl modules/libraries are. Alternately, I could delete ALL the Perl modules includes in MH but then have to figure out which ones might be missing from my Perl install. Both paths seem long. Thoughts? -- Rick Steeves http://www.irelandbybicycle.com And then I have to think more carefully, "What would Bugs Bunny do in a situation like this?" ________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from this list, go to: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/misterhouse-users
