[mh] Alexa Frustrations

Looking for suggestions or anything obvious I'm doing wrong.

Problem (see details below):

   - Can't add new devices to my Alexa account.
      - Q: If I remove a single device via the Alexa Phone app should I be
      able to tell Alexa to rescan and find the item I just deleted without
      additional actions in my?
   - Can't get any devices on my wife's Alexa account.
      - Q: Can I scan in 2 peoples Alexa Accounts and have the devices show
      up in 2 accounts, or are devices tied to a single account?  As
in is there
      a misterhouse limitation that only allows one Alexa account to 'own' a
      device?  Alexa expects each account in a household to re-scan for devices
      (stupid, I know).


Details:

   - Successfully moved MH to port 80 and made Apache2 happy with MH on
   port 80 even thru a reverse proxy
   - Testing
      - Switched to my account.  Default account on Alexa is my wife's
      account.
      - deleted all mh related smarthome devices via the phone Alexa app on
      my phone.
      - Told Alexa to scan for new devices. Alexa says things like "this
      might take a min" and "Put devices in pairing mode" etc.
      - Found all my devices
      - Yay, Alexa control works in my account
      - My wife is not home so I can't immediately switch accounts and scan
      for devices in her account too.  (REALLY STUPID that amazon doesn't share
      smarthome devices between Alexa accounts in the same Alexa-household)
   - 2 days later repeat in my wires account... no luck
      - Same thing.  Remove devices.
      - On rescan Alexa *DOES NOT* say  "this might take a min" and "Put
      devices in pairing mode".  However, this could be because its in
some kind
      of 'brief' mode were Alexa is less chatty.
      - No devices found.  ARGH.  BTW I switching to *my *account on Alexa
      and I can still control the devices as normal
      - Next, in my account I delete a seldom used MH device from the Alexa
      app on my phone.
      - Rescan in my account Alexa says the same as last time "pairing
      mode" etc.  However this time the rescan did NOT find the item I
deleted a
      few minutes ago.
