I've untangled the get_earthquakes script and have it working. While my Perl skills are mediocre at best, given the existing one points to a non-existent source and can't possibly work, I can hardly make it worse! What I've done is found the correct source, then updated everything to a get_url instead of get_ftp, and then reformatted the incoming CSV to the way it was formatted before. Now how would I check it in. SVN? Github? Sourceforge? I lose track these days. rick On 10/31/2020 4:55 PM, Rick Steeves via misterhouse-users wrote: > > Anyone have a working/running implementation of /bin/get_earthquakes and > /code/common/internet_earthquakes.pl ? > > > It was on my project list to fix ... a long time ago. > > get_earthquakes (the most current in the Github repo) FTPs to > hazards.cr.usgs.gov for the file cnss/cnss_14.fing > > and while the FTP server is still there, that file is not. > > > -- Rick Steeves https://www.irelandbybicycle.com It's all fun and games until someone ends up wearing a cone. ________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from this list, go to: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/misterhouse-users
