I think that’s a great idea. I’m planning on merging in my master and testing tasmota over the holidays. So I think a release in January is a perfect time.

I like the idea about gathering up all the ideas and enhancements done by the community as there may be some tools created that might help others. I’m not sure the best method to gather those however. I like some of the utilities you’ve come up with Giles, however you’re correct that there is some core functionality (like the generic_item idle response) that might be duplicated. I also like the web utilities, but again wonder with an eye to the future, if we should encourage JSON as the webapi.
