Yeah, the docs on contributing were clear in some places, not so much in 
others.  I read through the new page and, without trying any of the 
actual commands, it looks good to me.  One trivial change, perhaps if 
you are making some other changes:

     Now I hear you thinking: "Wow, nine step, and you told us it would 
be easier than using SVN..."

...except there aren't actually 9 steps from what I can see. Anyway, 
maybe rephrasing to:

     Now I hear you thinking: "Wow, that's a lot of steps, and you told 
us it would be easier than using SVN..."
