Gianni I had a similar problem to you and have now moved away from X10. I am now mostly using Sonoff switches (https://sonoff.tech/products/) which I have flashed with Tasmota (https://tasmota.github.io/docs/) and the latest Misterhouse TASMOTA_HTTP_SWITCH interface. This works very well, especially as the modules both have a web interface and handle MQTT heartbeats, so its easy to detect if one has gone bad. The Misterhouse Alexa interface has been stable for quite a while now and works well for both direct switching of a Misterhouse device as well as launching a perl routine. Not sure about the Misterhouse port as I moved to a different port number many years ago. For sensors I've moved over to a combination of Wemos D1 Mini flashed with Tasmota and using the Misterhouse MQTT interface and Sonoff Zigbee motion and temperature sensors communicating with Misterhouse via the Sonoff Zigbee Bridge (https://sonoff.tech/product/smart-home-security/zbbridge/) again flashed with Tasmota and using MQTT. The upshot of all this is that I now have a much more reliable system where it can self check and inform me if any sensor or switch is not working properly (you even get battery level indications for the Zigbee sensors) Hope this helps Giles On 25/02/2022 07:13, Gianni Veloce via misterhouse-users wrote: > Hello MH Community > I have a couple of questions to help me decide my way forward with MH > and you may have the experience to answer > 1.I am using my old X10 serial PLM and have in my closer an Insteon > PLM (2242) bought some years ago as a backup.
