The module in my AlexaBridge branch is a little different than what he sent because I updated the password before I sent the link out. The question is did you use the one I sent or the one Giles sent? If you used the one I sent, did it work as it was or did you have to set the "alexaForceLongFormat=1" option? I am trying to figure out if the new password fixed it or not. I am not sure why the newest version of the module isn't in the current MH master, I made a pull request a while back so I am not sure what happened. Once I see what fixed it, I'll make a new pull request. _Wayne On Wed, Mar 9, 2022 at 4:33 AM Gianni Veloce <[email protected]> wrote: > Dear Wayne > > Very nice explanation about Alexa integration.. > I was more of less aware how it works but did not know WHY it did not work > for me. > > So the good news is that the new AlexaBridge.pm (v.2.) module that you > provided solved my problem. > But cannot uderstand why it is not included in Misterhouse Github files to > help others avoid the trouble I had? > > Many thanks for your help and congrats for developing this module! > > *In a nutshell "if you have an Echo Dot device you need the v.2 MH module > for devices discovery as the module in the MH distro will not work"* > > P.S.
