The problem is the actual insteon chip is a black box. If nobody reverse
engineered it yet it is unlikely they will for a dead company.


IIRC Insteon gave schematics on how to lay out your own PLM but it was
really just a bunch of resistors, caps, a FTDI TTL to USB or RS232
converter and a mystery insteon chip in the middle.

The scene operation of my 6 and 8 button KPLs are second to none.

I guess I'll hold out for Matter devices, I guess?
