IDLE. Discussion Note 1

The educational application area has not received a lot of attention.
Indeed, one of the last discussions that I can remember having of it
is this fragment of dialogue with Jim Schoening in September of 2000:

The potential bearing of artificial intelligence and computational
media on education has been one of my oldest application areas and
research interests, but since it appears to be a teloscopic vision
of a future contingent struggle to see new ways to learn, to teach,
and to do research all in one, I am going to initiate a development
thread on the Ontology list, leading off with some old project work
that I did on the prospects of inquiry driven learning environments.
