Charles,

I will respect your wish not to be identified by name,
and I do understand that these comments and questions
of yours are highly provisional and subject to future
revisions in a future that may be long in coming, but
forgive me for attaching a pseudonym to them, in part
for the sake of future reference, but more because it
gives me a feeling of personal continuity with regard
to the person that I'm speaking to. Anyway, you know
who you are, which is a lot more than many people do.

I've been struggling, but haven't had much luck yet,
with organizing the record of our previous rambling
conversations, so I will just start by jumping into
the middle of the muddle and try to iron it all out
as we go.

JA: I trust that you are grokking the "functional and structural
dependency and development" (FASDAD) aspects of what I have
been doing on the main SUO list?

JA: http://suo.ieee.org/email/thrd1.html#11635

CL: After a simple-minded look for "functional and structural
dependency and development" in the subject lines failed,
I think I noticed how you have linked the "definition of"
    records together.

CL: There are obvious dependencies between the words and
the concepts. But teasing out the semantics of each
dependency is a much different and harder task than
pointing out that they exist and marking them with
    placeholders.

CL: How many "types" of dependency do you think will
eventually develop in your "network" of pointers?

CL: So, have I grokked your point? If not, give
me a few more clues and I'll go looking again.

Sorry, I know I never got around to answering these questions --
there was travel and many other distractions in the mean time --
I am still trying to remember what I was thinking about when
I sent that note, but maybe the next few will jog my memory.
