I have encountered the following error when attempting to convert a =
Protege project to a Protege Database in MySQL 5.6 and above.

2013.09.27 20:30:17.953 BST INFO: Creating database indicies: -- =

NOT NULL, value_index INT NOT NULL, value_type SMALLINT NOT NULL, =
short_value VARCHAR(310) COLLATE utf8_general_ci, long_value MEDIUMTEXT) =
ENGINE =3D INNODB DEFAULT CHARACTER SET 'utf8'' :Specified key was too =
long; max key length is 767 bytes -- =
DefaultDatabaseFrameDb.createTable()
2013.09.27 20:30:18.937 BST WARNING: Errors at copying knowledgebase =
jdbc:mysql://localhost/essential -- =
com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Specified key =
was too long; max key length is 767 bytes

Specifically, the issue appears to be with the key lengths.=20

MySQL 5.5. works perfectly.

I have seen this with Protege 3.4.8 and cannot see anything in the =
release notes for Protege 3.5 about this. Has it been addressed in =
version 3.5? I know that MySQL is one of the recommended databases for =
Protege but currently we cannot use MySQL beyond version 5.5

Thanks in advance

Jonathan
