[protege-user] Protégé not longer maintain ?

Hi guys,

I recently read this post:

and found this claims that call my attention:

" Protege, which was many people’s first introduction to the Semantic Web,
announced that it's no longer being maintained. With this announcement,
likely, many of the design patterns it introduced will also disappear"


and I wonder:

When was it announced that protégé would not be maintained any more?.

Is there protégé reaching his EOL?.

Or are the claims of this author wrong?.
