Good to hear! I use it daily! V/r, Mark From: protege-user <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Matthew Horridge Sent: Thursday, August 21, 2025 1:14 PM To: User support for WebProtege and Protege Desktop <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [protege-user] Protégé not longer maintain? Hi, The post you linked is simply incorrect, and I'll also be posting a correction there. Protégé is actively maintained. Protégé can refer to two different platforms. Desktop Protégé is maintained as a community project, with ongoing contributions from developers, most significantly Damien Goutte-Gattat, who continues to lead development. WebProtégé is maintained and developed at Stanford, where our team is actively working on new features funded by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI). To be absolutely clear: both Desktop Protégé and WebProtégé are alive, maintained, and moving forward with active development. Hi guys, I recently read this post: https://ontologist.substack.com/p/the-future-of-knowledge-graphs and found this claims that call my attention: " Protege, which was many people's first introduction to the Semantic Web, announced that it's no longer being maintained. With this announcement, likely, many of the design patterns it introduced will also disappear" and I wonder: When was it announced that protégé would not be maintained any more?. Is there protégé reaching his EOL?. Or are the claims of this author wrong?.
