I have zero experience with ofmipd, but could it be used to get  
qconfirm-inject into the chain? tmda uses their own version as  
described at http://tmda.net/tmda-ofmipd.html.

Would it be worthwhile for me to investigate or could you already say  
that it's not going to work?
