inconsistent socklog args

Hi,

I've got a log parsing pipeline that socklog is the originator for. I've
noticed that these two invocations of socklog differ in how it "converts
syslog  facility and priority information to names".

over tcp with tcpsvd invoking socklog appears to ignore -R

socklog over udp respects -R

...my goal is to pass the raw, unmodified txt to svlogd.

Is this a mis-feature, or have I misunderstood the settings?
