Well, many are running EZMLM, in order to use a more modern MLM with VERP.
SUSE, for example uses it, for all their email groups, and on a good day,
can have 10 million or more emails... Most people just subscribe to one of
their 20 or so lists using their standard address, not knowing their From
address and envelope sender can be set separately, as EZMLM goes by
envelope sender.

Also, I have found that most of the internet still uses MLM such as
Majordomo, and older MLM that use the From address to subscribe. The djb
community as far as a non-subscribing MLM goes is in the minority,
unfortunately. So, any list that requires a subscription, and is using
EZMLM,  will not work appropriately with the new features in qconfirm, as
the envelope sender would keep changing and not be the subscribed address.
Unfortunately, I subscribe to several lists that meet these two criteria,
that being a EZMLM list, and requiring a subscription. Using Chris
Johnson's qdated program for the From address and qconfirm with the mid
feature currently solves the spam problem very well. Also, any email that
I send to someone, is currently tagged with a Message-ID string that is
picked up by qconfirm-mid, and is accepted appropriately. I love that
feature. <g>

I agree with you here, but am unable to change anything other than my own.
