Hi, there's a new test package of socklog available:

 http://smarden.org/socklog/

socklog now builds out-of-the-box on the Solaris platform (without door
support).  For details about system logging on Solaris, and on how to
build socklog with syslog_door support, see Lars Uffmann's README[0].
