Sorry for the late mail. I think I got hold of this, (not sure). It was
telnet. I had it enabled from xinetd and from daemontools also. Ntosure
but once I shut off telnet I cannotsee the defunct process. Now have to
wait till next reboot tomorrow. Meanwhile touch telnet/down :)
