Microbreak Windows Taking Focus

I work as a designer using such software as Adobe Photoshop and Fireworks.

The problem I am having is when the MIcrobreak Window pops up it can take
focus from what I am actively doing in an application.

If I have a flyopen dialog or menu open it gets closed and I have to get
back to where I was previously

Is there any way to get around this issue?

I know I can turn on quiet mode, but then I don't realize when it's time to
take a break.
