How to configure screen locking program ?

I use i3lock to lock my screen, and when my rest break comes up it isn't 
locked.

Is there anyway to configure this so I can do this?

Note, I'm running the version from debian stable (1.9.909), so if this 
has been
implemented in a later version I can happily upgrade manually :D
