Re: workrave preferences setup

Pfew... That took a lot of trial and error, and a consultation from my
favorite workrave developer (Thanks, Rob).

Short answer: You should not have been able to do that.

Slightly longer: It should be possible to toggle some gconf setting and
then restart workrave, and then the window should be visible again. That
is, until you accidentally close it again. Hence, I do not recommend
taking this approach.

May I instead recommend you install the latest version of workrave from
the workrave PPA (link below [1]). Be sure to install both workrave and
workrave-gnome. Next, you should log out and log back in again. If you
now open the "Tweak tool", you should be able to find "Workrave" in the
extensions tab. Switch it to on. The top right of your screen should now
look somewhat like the picture below.



If you right-click the sheep, or the timer to its right, the workrave
menu should finally open. One of the options is "open", to get the main
window back. Having the extension, there is (in my opinion) not much
point in having the main window too, but still you can :-)
