If you are in "Reading Mode" the timers keep running and you are still reminded to take all breaks including "Micro Breaks" >>> From: Kees-Jan Dijkzeul <[email protected]> To:<[email protected]>, End-user mailing list <[email protected]> Date: 9/15/10 3:31 PM Subject: Re: [Workrave-user] "Suspend Timer When Inactive" On 09/15/2010 10:07 PM, Kaydo wrote: Thank you for the response Kees-Jan. The reason I was asking was because if I stop using the computer for a period of time, the natural breaks make me miss my rest period and thus, I do not get the reminded to do the exercises. How can I make sure that no matter how much inactivity there is, I always am forced to take an official *rest break* and get reminded to do my exercises? I'm not sure you can currently do this. You could, of course, enable "reading mode" permanently, but then you'd risk being requested to exercise when you're not present at the computer. If I understand your request correctly, you want to suspend timers when inactive (such that you'll only be prompted a break when present at the computer to actually see it), and you don't want to take a natural break, ever (such that you'll always be prompted to exercise). I must admit you are the first to request something like this. In fact, the natural breaks are something we're quite proud of, because as a result, you won't get any unnecessary breaks. For most people, breaking is more important than exercising. I must admit, I never put much stock in the workrave exercises anyway, and stick to my own exercises, both when workrave prompts me to, and when I'm away from the computer. Like I said, I don't think anything like you request can currently be done (though possibly someone else has some creative idea). Maybe it is a worthwile future extension.
