Thanks for your advice.  The main problem I was having was that I was not
able to uninstall the program while it was running, and I couldn't find a
way to shut if off so that I could uninstall it.  Fortunately, when I
initially installed the program, I unchecked the box to have it
automatically start when Windows starts.  (I had forgotten that I had done
this before I sent out my help request.)  So, I simply restarted my computer
and then was able to work through the control panel to uninstall the
program, since Workrave was not running at that point.
