It seems I forgot to add the 'usage mode' (as it is called internally) to the 
CoreInterface.. It will be in the next version :-) for now you could use the 
the GetInt method of org.workrave.ConfigInterface to read the value of the 
"general/usage-mode" settings. 0 = normal, 1 = reading.
