Hi all, I'm afraid that I'll need a little hand holding whilst I get my head around how BitPim code works, but hopefully I can get there fairly quickly. I have a SCH-A650 (Telus) which does not enter 'brew' mode, the reason is that the data packet sent back after the request does not pass the CRC test. > --- > 23:06:06.721 /dev/ttyACM0: Changed port speed to 115200 > 23:06:07.378 SCH-A650: brew request Data - 2 bytes > <#! p_brew.memoryconfigrequest !#> > 00000000 59 0c Y. > > 23:06:07.403 SCH-A650: Original data Data - 12 bytes > 00000000 59 0c 00 27 49 39 00 13 11 33 a0 7e Y..'I9...3.~ > > 23:06:07.575 SCH-A650: Working on data Data - 9 bytes > 00000000 59 0c 00 27 49 39 00 13 11 Y..'I9... > > 23:06:07.589 Error: Device needs attention - SCH-A650 on /dev/ttyACM0 > SCH-A650 on /dev/ttyACM0: The phone is not responding while transitioning mode from none to brew. > --- I understand from Roger that this is probably because this phone has firmware based on J2ME, rather than Brew. Looking at the code (with glazed eyes) I can't really see: 1). Whether there are any other phones that work with BitPim, but don't use Brew. 2). Whether it is necessary to enter 'brew' mode to get/set address/calendar entries. Any help will be greatly appreciated, Simon. ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
