Can I help with Samsung SCH-A790?

Hello - 

I've just discovered 'bitpim' today.  It doesn't seem to fully support my
phone (Samsung SCH-A790 - combo CDMA+GSM phone), but low-level stuff like
filesystem access work. 

I assume that this phone is new enough that it's NOT already supported.  Is
it currently being worked on by anyone? 

If not (or if the developer wants help), I'd be interested in helping out.
I've got plenty of reverse-engineering/hacking experience (was part of
original Xbox-Linux team, for example). 

I'd appreciate any 'getting started' pointers that anyone may have.  Of
course, I can follow what's on the 'bitpim' web page, but I'm looking for
any tips that may not be listed there.  For example, are there any standard
"AT" or Qualcomm debug commands that will let me just browse the
memory/flash of the phone?  And/or, is there a standard filesystem layout
("known" dir/file names) that is displayed in the filesystem view, or is a
'find first/find next' filesystem dump used (so I'm actually seeing all of
the files on my phone)? 

Again, I just ran across this project tonight.  Sorry if I'm asking stupid
questions.  I'll probably find some of this out by just reading the source
code.  But, any pointers you can give me would be helpful.
