I did both, but if you change the formatting of the keys (serial1 and serial2 - I had them wrong at first) then you get lots of interesting problems. Then when done you can clean up the data and post it as an example. I've got a nice sample file for the pm325 protocol by just keeping up a single notepad session and saving the interesting parts of the protocol dumps.
