I did both, but if you change the formatting of the keys (serial1 and 
serial2 - I had them wrong at first) then you get lots of interesting 
problems.  The vCard was able to restore after a change in the key 
structures, and after I had accidentally deleted all of my PB entries <g>.

For new phone developers keeping a running log of the protocol is pretty 
useful.  Then when done you can clean up the data and post it as an example. 
I've got a nice sample file for the pm325 protocol by just keeping up a 
single notepad session and saving the interesting parts of the protocol 
dumps.  As I get down to just a few "bits" to be fixed the clipboard 
technique will work out well.
