The LG VX8000 doesn't support BCI images!  I assume Qualcomm is
dropping support for this format, which was just a poor reinvention
of PNG combined with multiple frames a-la gif.

Also please move all wallpaper format conversion to wallpaper.py
rather than having it in specific phone modules.  The conversions
should be done at import time, not writing to phone time.

wxPython/Widgets 2.5.4.1 has grown some options that help saving.
If you grab the source, have a look in src/common/imagpng.cpp
which now understands options for format and bitdepth.  The
bmp code doesn't appear to have changed.
