That information is available via modem AT commands.  The problem is that
on LG phones with direct USB have two interfaces and the code currently
assumes only one per phone.  It would be quite a bit more work to add
a second interface and use it for modem stuff.

In the case of your phone you only have a serial connection.  I don't
remember if the get out of brew mode stuff works.  If it does then there
is help.
