port detection issue

The attached screenshot shows a problem that I need some help trying to figure out.

Obviously the phone is detected in COM10, yet bitpim decides to use COM9 every time I plug in my phone. Is this a bug in my code for the LG PM325 or is it somewhere else?

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.
