I really don't like that new icon.  In addition to being
very similar to RSS, I figured out where I keep seeing it.
All the various clocks that pick up their time signals 
from the NIST transmissions use exactly the same icon
to say.  Even the logo for Lacrosse Technology is very
similar:

I'd favour something that looks nice, is distinctive and has
no relation whatsoever to cell phones.  (Think of the O'Reilly
book covers as one good example.)
