Re: debian packaging

First off, I'm pleased to report that my initial packages recently
made it into the archive, so further uploads should encounter minimal
delay.

Incidentally, I had originally considered writing a unified man page,
but decided to split it up in part because I split BitFling off into a
separate binary package on account of its extra dependencies.  (In
retrospect, though, they're a drop in the bucket compared to wxPython,
so [re]unification may well be in order.)

My preference would be to meet you in the middle: just give the file a
distribution-neutral name (such as Makefile or build.sh) and similarly
neutral contents and let me specify my preferred directory layout via
command-line arguments or environment variables.  That way, you won't
have to worry about the details of Debian's packaging policy (which
shifts over time), and the contents may be more generally useful.

It's probably also worth noting that building Debian packages involves
consulting a number of files under the debian/ subdirectory (which,
again, you need not provide); that was the "rules" file, but there are
several others I didn't bother sending, including changelog, control,
and copyright.

I've taken a look at this script, but I'm still not sure how useful it
is when making unfrozen packages.
