The ideal user interface would be a single button labelled "do what I want"
and the user wouldn't have to press it.  BitPim should be working correctly
so there is no need to look in the statusbar.  *Everything* other than
the user's data is there because of our failures.  I highly recommend

Users are in no way concerned with the minutiae of their phone model
and which port it is connected to.  That information is only relevant
if BitPim doesn't appear to be working.
