Joe, Since you asked..... ;-) I noticed that the various phones fall into three categories (re: calendars): - Type I: o Use one date - event date (event up to 24 hours). o Use two times - event start and end times. - Type II: o Use two dates - event date (up to 24 hours) and "repeat until" date. o Use two times - event start and end times. - Type III: o Use three dates - event start and end dates (allows more than 24 hours) and "repeat until" date. o Use two times - event start and end times. Currently, BitPim only supports Type I and II phones. I would like to see Type III phones supported as well, as the newer LG phones (e.g., VX8300 and newer) will be of this type. Here are my recommendations: Update the Calendar GUI: - On the General tab, break the current "From" and "To" fields into their respective "date" and "time" fields. - For Type I and II phones, make the default "To: Date" a "false" field (i.e., red); also, give this field a new name. Possibly set it equal to the "From: Date" or leave it blank. - For Type III phones, enable the "To: Date". - On the Repeat tab, add a new field calling it "Repeat Until:". - For Type II phones, use this field for the "end" date. From a GUI point of view, it makes more sense. If done correctly, there would be minimal, if non-existent, code changes to the current phones. If there were some flag (say, similar to what Simon created in the "com_lgvx8100" module) to detect if the phone supported one, two, or three dates, and a default be set in the base module (e.g., com_lgvx4400), and changed only when needed (e.g., com_lgvx8300), I think we can make this work. What do you think? Regards, Michael C.
