Fusic LG LX-550 Support

Hi,

I just bought the awesome Fusic LG LX550, I'm a software engineer, and I
love python. I'd love to work on BitPim support for my phone, but don't
have a lot of time to figure out structure and whatnot. I have managed to
get the whole source environment working, build a new com_lglx550.py module,
and override detectphone() to get BitPim to actually detect my phone.

My question is this: What's the best way to figure out how to support a
phone? Can anyone steer me towards documents/webpages/source files that
would aid in my task? I imagine I could derive my phone class from a
similar LG phone; anyone have any recommendations on which phone would be
the closest? Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Jay
