Actually, yes, I've looked into the CLI, and have been able to get most of BitPim working with my phone using different profiles for different things, and a bash script for uploading ringtones and wallpapers. The only thing that CLI is missing, as far as I can tell, is to make the Reboot command available. I might suggest abbreviating it rbp or somesuch to keep from messing up a user who is playing around in superuser mode. I can forward the scripts and so forth if that would help support the r500. I have NO knowledge of Perl or Python.
