Thanks again for your quick response on this issue Stephen.  Do you by any chance know when your fix will be implemented in the next 'test' version?  When I read through the list of changes on the latest test release (1.0.6.20080726), I did not see the fix mentioned.  I tried it just in case, but the issue is still there. 

I'm looking forward to testing out the patch to see if the issue has been taken care of once and for all.

I have put in a patch to fix this, making the padding before the date
larger. The patch only applied to the SCP-7500.  If anyone has seen
this problem on other Sanyo phones, let me know.
