BitPim Official Release 1.0.6 Katana Problem

I have a Sanyo Katana SCP-6600. When trying to read the data from the phone I recieve an error. SCP-6600 on COM5: The phone is not responding while transitioning mode from none to phonebook. See Trouble shooting tips. I can query the modem successfully through the Device Manager. I have powered the phone down, removed the battery, disconnected and reconnected the cable several times. Nothing seems to help. I did notice in the release notes there was a bug fix for the SCP-6650 could that have an effect on this model? Suggestions?
