The enV3 can be set to store photos on the MicroSD card (in the my_pix 
folder) instead of writing them directly to the phone's memory. When 
viewing "My Pictures" (following links on the phone), photos on the card 
and photos stored in the phone's internal memory will both be displayed.
The same is true for "My Sounds" - this can include audio files stored 
on the phone as well as those stored in the my_sounds directory on the 
memory card.

As far as I know, ringtones, contacts, calendar and text messages cannot 
be stored on the card.
audio files classfied under "My Sounds" (whether in phone's internal 
memory or on the card) can be set as ringtones, but not as alarm sounds.

So to answer your question, I don't think there is a way to transfer 
contacts via the card. Only pictures and sounds.
