BitPim version: 1.0.7-official LG-VX9200 SMS text retrieval issues

I am using a LG-VX9200 with the following parameters:
  Software version VX920V05
  BitPim Version 1.0.7 on Windows XP box
  Connected using a microUSB cable

Whenever I try to retrieve the SMS text messages from the phone I receive the following error message. I can retrieve call history and ringtones without issue.
