The backup may be worth something someday<G> If I remember correctly, when I first used that version from August (1.0.7.20090805) it totally trashed the contacts in the phone. In fact whenever I tried to open a contact the phone would reboot. I had to clear all contacts and all groups from the phone before I could do anything. After clearing the phone, I believe adding four leading zeros to my bitpim phone book and removing all groups allowed the upload to the phone to work. The later version in November (1.0.7.20091103 [build 4767]) which I'm using now still has support for groups totally broken. So right now, even If I added a group using the phone, I am careful to remove it from the phone and the Bitpim phone book before attempting to upload contacts to the phone. Maybe deleting all contacts and groups would allow you to upload. Of course you risk losing everything until a new Bitpim version fixes things. I had nothing to lose because trying to open a contact rebooted the phone.
