...and lawyers wonder why everyone hates them.

Let him sue whoever. When it gets thrown out of court, whoever he sues 
can sue him for filing a frivolous lawsuit. When a person joins the list 
willingly, then does not want to take the time to figure out how to 
unsubscribe, is not the making of a lawsuit. Not to mention, if a person 
cannot figure out unsubscribing, it is so easy to set up a mail filter 
to direct all future emails to trash.

Every lawyer I know loves to throw their weight around to get their way 
because they know most people will not stand up to legal bullying and 
threats.
