I was unable to get BitPim to talk to my Katana II SCP 6650 It was most
frustrating.

That is UNTIL I recently downloaded the newest version of Bitpim 1.0.7 .

Now it recognized the Katana instantly and works fine. I can pretty much
import FROM the phone anything, including (what was most important to me --
to be able to take photos of the phone) and get them into my PC over a USB
cable.

It will also nicely let me create a phone number (contacts) list on the
screen in the PC and inject that into the phone. And backup contacts in the
phone into the PC.

But it appears it does not support injecting anything (photos, ringtones,
etc) INTO the Katana other than the contacts list and the calendar.
