Hi Gene! I understand that bitpim works with other phones, but the
problem here is with that particular model of Sanyo. If you look up the
tech specs on it, you'll see that it only supports a couple of
protocols, but the real problem with the phone is that nobody (including
bitpim and datapilot) has included support for the protocols the phone
uses, with the exception of the wallpaper function. And on a side note,
you can download whatever resolution you had your camera set at when you
shot the picture. If the phone created thumbnails for picture mail or
caller ID, then it will download the original and thumbnail both.
The reason I haven't tried bluetooth yet is because my laptop
motherboard has a manufacturer defect in which the video, integrated
wireless care, and bluetooth go out and sometimes work and sometimes
don't. I found out about the recall and free replacement program less
than a month after it expired, and now they want over 600 dollars to do
it. If I'm gonna pay 600 bucks, it'll be for a new laptop. I plan on
buying a USB bluetooth adapter to replace the integrated, just haven't
gotten around to it yet.
