Be sure to follow all instructions on the page at the second link I gave
you and take your time following the steps to make sure you don't miss
anything.

On a side note, you said that you had polish characters.  Why not
changing the regional settings in your control panel in Windows so that
it uses English as the default language without any special characters?
Even if that's not the problem, you can eliminate it as an unknown
variable and focus on just the software and connection problem.  If that
fixes it, then you'll know that's what it was.  It's a quick simple
thing to try that may save you hours of frustration.
