I have exactly the same problem. I think that the problem is that BitPim supports old VX9700 OS. Phone OS gets updated automatically and in the result BitPim does not recognize well LG VX 9700 and crashes on load. V Cast Music with Rhapsode may have something to do with Bit Pim crashes too. We ask BitPim developers to solve this problem in next version so BitPim works with VX 9700 again. Please fix BitPim so it works with LG VX 9700. I appreciate your help with this...I have been using BitPim for quite a while and when I upgraded to the new version of BitPim (1.07) I got this Exception Message from the 1st use on and have not been able to correct it since. I have tried working on sovling this problem over several weeks so I know whatever the problem is that it is not just a fluke. I have the LG Dare (VX9700) from Verizon and am using the USB cable that came with the phone. The program is recognizing my phone just fine and even is able to pull up all my data on the log file but for some reason after the program completes attempting to retrieve my information from my phone I get this error message. After I click continue the information from my phone is not put into BitPim at all, none of it. I have tried canceling the message instead of continuing, uninstalling, reinstalling from BitPim's website, updating my phones drivers, looking on the web for help and through the archives, using different USB ports, but nothing seems to work. I am running Windows 7. I have listed the exception message below and attached the log file to this message as it is pretty long. Thanks so much for your help! Catherine Here is the exception message: BitPim version: 1.0.7-official An unexpected exception has occurred. Please see the help for details on what to do.
