SMS Computer to Computer

Can anyone help me with a weird problem I am having with getting my old archived SMS messages from my old computer to my one? I have tried copying the cache folder over with no luck. I have tried renaming the old files. I may have messed up when I launched the program without loading my old cache files first and downloaded new ones to the archived folder. I tried renaming the new ones. All results end in only the new archives displaying. Has anyone else dealt with and come up with a solution? Any help with be greatly appreciated. I have the copy of the old cache just not the index file. Are those old ones lost forever or is there even a way to view them?
