LG Chocolate 3 (GIG) problems..?

Hey, I have an LG Chocolate GIG and I want to get BitPim to work with it so bad! Okay so when I open the phone files on the G drive, for some reason it freezes like crazy (my computer), like its a fast computer but whenever it interacts with my phone it never works, but I am able to get some things done.
